That is an obstacle to communication that teachers do not have control over. However, for those parents who do have Internet access, a teacher with a blog becomes a more effective communicator. The purpose of the slide show is not to say that teachers shouldn't make phone calls home, it is about showing teachers that having a blog does have benefits. Creating more ways for teachers and parents to communicate is a good thing.
